Drugstore Haul: NEW L'Oreal LeMatte Colour Riche, Maybelline Baby Lips Electro & Dr Rescue Lip Balm review

Hello Everyone,

Yes, I have been MIA and now I am just slowly getting back to working on my blog. Yay!
Of course my favorite place in the drugstore is the makeup aisle and I had to pickup "some" new products to try. I have tried these products for a few days and I have nothing bad to say about them.

I am a big fan of Maybelline Baby Lips and for them to come out with the Electro lip balm and the medicated Dr Rescue I couldn't help myself. I only picked up three out of the five colors from this collection because the neon green (Minty Sheer) and neon yellow (Fierce n Tangy) are both clear. These are great quick fixes if you don't want to put on too much makeup and you are on the go. Although these are not the most hydrating lip treatment, they are fun to collect. Personally, I like them and they work for me.

The Dr Rescue Medicated Lip Balms are great to use for winter. I like the cool freshness of the menthol on my lips. They do provide a nice natural color and decent moisture for your lips. From this collection, I only picked up Pink Me Up and Soothing Sorbet and they are both great colors.

Here are swatches to show how sheer these lip balms are:

For L'Oreal, here is the new LeMatte Colour Riche Lip Color in Matte For Me. La Matte collection has a flattering matte finish. They have a bit of a sheen and don't accentuate the dryness on your lips which is a double plus in my book!

Here is how it looks on:
The color is very opaque and I didn't have to apply too much to get an intense color.

My other favorites for Fall are the L'Oreal infallible eyeshadows in Amber Rush, Eternal Sunshine, and Smoldering Plum. These pigments last all day and are very comparable to high-ends. You will get your money's worth with these eyeshadow pigments.

Current favorite drugstore gel eyeliner is the L'Oreal Infallible 24H in blackest black. It goes on so smooth and makes it easy for you to create the perfect "winged" eyeliner. Two thumbs up!

Until next time,
stay healthy, beautiful, and inspired.

Have a great night!

New L'OREAL Miss Candy Spring/Summer 2013 Nail Polish and Infallible Eyeshadows

Hello Everyone,

Drugstore makeup has been stepping up their game. L'Oreal just came out with their Spring/Summer 2013 collection called Miss Candy and the colors really do look like starburst candy. It's fun, bright, and just full of happy colors.

There are many items in this collection, but I was only able to get my hands on some of them.
The Infallible eyeshadows are amazing and last up to 24 hours. I do feel they are the same quality, if not, better than high end eyeshadows. The two colors I picked up are: With a Twist (Purple) and Cherie Merie (Coral)

I like both shades and they are very pigmented. Really worth the price!!! So much cheaper than the Armani Eyes to Kill. For these eyeshadows, it can be used wet or dry.

For the nail polish, I picked up 3 shades: Mango Mamma, Lilac Coolers, and Bananarama Love. Such cute names.

I have on Mango Mamma and I feel the nail polish is sheer so I had to apply 2-3 coats to make it more opaque. It has a jelly look to them once they are applied to you nails. Overall, I do like them mainly because they are fun to wear for the summer.

Until next time,
stay healthy, beautiful, and inspired.

Have a great night!

L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse Wet Shine Stain Review

Hello everyone,

There are so many new drugstore makeup that just came out and they are just flying off the shelves. If you like try the new collections, I would recommend you to get to the store soon before they sell out.

L'Oreal came out with an entire collection of Wet Shine Stains, nail polish, and eyeshadow palettes. I picked up some of each, but for this blog I will just be reviewing the Wet Shine Stain/Lipgloss.

For this collection, there are 11 different shades of lip stains. I only bought 5 shades and Walgreens is having $1.00 off each this week + another $1.00 off from their coupon book.

Before I go into more details, most of you know that YSL is owned by L'Oreal. YSL came out with their Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain that is selling for $32 a pop. I have tried it at Sephora and it didn't make a big impression on me plus I couldn't wrap my head around paying that much for a lip gloss. So, when L'Oreal came out with the Wet Shine Stain, it is very similar to the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain. Both of them have the same applicator and the pigmentation of the L'Oreal is great, especially the dark colors. After all, they are made by the same company.

Instead of paying $32 for one, I can buy four of the L'Oreal Wet Stain from the drugstore.
Here are the swatches from left to right: Pink Perseverance, Pink Resistance, Rose On and On, Infinite Fuchsia, and Endless Red. I like pink/nude colors, so my favorite would have to be Rose On and On.

After I swatch the lip stains on my hand, I tried to wipe it off to see if it really is a lip stain. Wow, the colors are still on my hand. To remove this, I had to use a makeup remover and scrub hard on my hand to get it off. So, I believe there is no question about the staining. When I applied this on my lips, it didn't feel sticky. It's nice to have the glossy look without your lips feeling that there is too much product.

Overall, it is a nice product to try if you are a lip junkie like me. I can never have enough lip products in my bag.

As most of you know, I like to decorate, so it's almost Valentine's day and I had to feel some love in the room. All of the Valentine's Day items are 40% off at Joann's fabric store so here is what I got:

I know... I always get socks for different occasions. These are knee high socks and will look cute with boots.
I got some heart lights that I hung around my vanity. Just the little details that makes me happy when I see it.

And here is what I have on my vanity- products that I use almost everyday.

Until next time,
stay healthy, beautiful, and inspired.

Have a great night!

L'Oreal 24hour INFALLIBLE EYESHADOWS

Hello Everyone

Like I said before, there are so many drugstore eyeshadows that came out this month and I just can't say enough. I got the L'Oreal 24hour Infallible eyeshadows the same time I got the Maybelline 24hour color tattoo, but I just haven't gotten around to using them until now.  Again, here is another product that blew me away. L'Oreal came out with the 24Hr infallible loose pigment eyeshadows with 13 different shades. All of them are highly pigmented. I would pick these over Chanel Illusion D'Ombre and Armani Eyes to Kill.

They look like cream shadows, but are pressed powder. They feel very soft, velvety, and glides on very smoothly on your eyelid. With these loose pigments, you will still get fallouts so I recommend you to use a spongy applicator than a brush to apply. If you do use a brush, use a dense brush. Be careful when you apply these because a little goes a long way. The colors come across very bold so grab a little at a time and build it up from there.

It is well packaged, I don't feel like they are too bulky or heavy as the Maybelline 24hour tattoo. Once you twist open the cap, there is a little plastic conserver pressing the product flat which helps keep the added moisture inside.

I got nine colors:
The purple is one of my favorite: 555- Perpetual Purple

The green is very pretty too: 333- Golden Sage

Nice Gold color- 892- Amber Rush, 999- Eternal Black

891- Continuous Cocoa, 889- Midnight Blue (great blue color)

890- Bronzed Taupe, 888- Iced Latte

I am missing a picture of one more color which is 222- Infinite Sky (which is the blue color down below)

Here are the swatches of all the colors I got:

L'Oreal also claims them to be waterproof so I ran my hand under warm water for 3 minutes to see if any color would come off. Nope, it is still on with the same intensity as I had before.

I also tried rubbing it softly while it is under warm water to see how much comes off: I can see a little bit coming off, but the color is still intense. With an eye makeup remover, it came off easily.

Are they a good buy? Yes, they will stay on throughout the day without creasing. Go get them!

I hope this helps.
Have a great night!
