OOTD: Boyfriend Blazer is a must have!

Hi Everyone,

I got a package from Hautelook.com and I am excited to share with you what it is. I guess the the title of the blog gave it away..... oh well, it's a boyfriend blazer!!!! Hautelook.com is a site where they sell top brands for women (BCBG, Rock and Republic, Kitson, etc), kids, men, home, and beauty (Lorac, T3, etc). The clothes are authentic (brands) and are marked down a lot. It surprised me that they also sell vacation/hotel stays for 1 night at a 30-50% discounted rate. This site usually host private limited-time sale events that lasts 48-72 hours so for those early birds it starts at 8am Pacific time and it's first come first serve type of deal. Hautelook.com can be dangerous because it makes people become an impulse buyer. Once you put something in the basket, the 15 min timer goes off. What does this mean? It means that you need to add whatever else you want from that site within 15 min or it will empty your basket and put everything back on sale.  When it is put back, other people can grab it which sucks big time! 

Anywho, I am supposed to be talking about my blazer...... so my blazer is from Matty M. I have never heard of this brand before, but I really like the style and the cut. It fits me perfectly. The original price was $115 and I got it for $39. It is made out of 100% cotton lining, 53% polyester, 47% Rayon.  Boyfriend blazers can easily be worn with jeans or dress pants. I feel like I can never have enough of these blazers!

  The sleeves are folded to show a nice contrast and also to give you a feeling that you are wearing your boyfriend's blazer.

Perfect Imperfection Tag!!!!

Hi Everyone,

Another day of work..... and finally home! I just want to unwind and relax, but one of my fellow blogger named SoOOshie RAW tagged me to do this...... what have you gotten me into..... crazy!!!! So for those of you who doesn't know what a Tag is, it is usually done on YouTube among the beauty community and it is exactly like the game "Tag, You're It." Well, SoOOshie decided that the blog community should join in on the fun and starts to tag everyone. Thanks...... I believe this tag was started by Andreaschoice on Youtube who thought why not let people know 3 things that you don't like about yourself( whether they are obvious to the world or something you pick about that no one else seems to see!) and 3 things that you do like about yourself.

I usually don't like doing these tags, but I will do it for you SoOOshie!!!!

Three things I don't like about myself:

1) The bump on my nose. I have always hated it. When I was younger I would try to push it down so it doesn't get any bigger. But, duhhhhh it's a bone and pushing it down doesn't help. Yeah, I didn't know better back then.
This is soooo weird to point out to everyone what I don't like about myself....... GOSH SoOOshie!!!

2) I don't like my stubbly fingers. I wish they were a bit longer and leaner. Whenever I cut my nails short, it would make my fingers look that much fatter. So, I would try to grow my nails out to make it look more proportional. =o)

3) "I wish I was a little bit taller, I wish I was a baller" It would be nice to be 5'5 but I can't do anything about that.... I just have to settled for being 5'1........ Pleaaassse let me grow a few more inches..... ok, I'm opening my eyes now..... am I still 5'1? Shit, I guess begging doesnt help.....

I have a lot of imperfections that I can think about but I am going to leave it at 3!


3 Things that I like about myself.....
This is hard.....

1) I like my hair. I used to not like it so much because it seems like no matter what I just couldn't get it to grow passed my shoulder. Now it's super long and shiny!

2) I like my nails. They have always been hard(not brittle) and long like my mom's. I am glad I got her nails but I think I got my Dad's fingers...... weird......

3) I like my smile and my one lonely dimple.

Cheap, Simple way of keeping your skin looking Healthy.

Happy Monday! Coming home after a long day at work must be exhausting. On those days, I just want to take a warm shower and crawl into bed, especially during the winter. Getting enough rest is important for your body and for your skin. Besides a good rest, I want to include you all in on a little secret on how to keep your skin looking bight.  Someone told me about this and I decided to give it a try because it only cost $0.20 to do so.

Have you ever heard of an egg white mask? I am sure all of you have heard of it.  It helps reduce acne and tightens the skin. Well, this is similar to the egg white mask, but you don't need to go through the messy process of spreading the egg whites on your face.

1) Get an egg and boil it in water for 20 minutes. Make sure the water covers the top of the egg. You want the egg to get as hard as you can so when you peel the shell off the egg it doesn't break.

2) After 20 minutes, take it out and place the egg in cold water for 2 minutes until it is warm enough to hold in your hand. Don't let it cool down too much because we need the heat.

3) If it is warm enough to hold, peel the shell from the egg carefully. Make sure the egg is nice and smooth without any breakage.

4) Now, roll the egg on your clean face while it is warm for 5-8 minutes. (You can roll the egg however long you like until the egg is no longer warm on your face)

up. 

5) Finally, you can eat your egg.  Just kidding... ewww who wants to an egg after you rubbed it all over your face.
At the end, I always peel the white off the egg to see how much dirt it has absorbed on the yolk. It's gross, but check it out.

Well, here is how it looks like after I rubbed it all over my face. It has bumps on the surface of the yolk that shows what it has absorbed from my skin. Yuck! look at all the dirt.

I like to do this regiment 1-2 times a week and it's dirt cheap!

Great Flats to have for a Night Out.

Hi Everyone,

How was your weekend? Did you have a fun night out in the city? For the girls, I know we love wearing heels when we go out. It just make the outfit that much sexier and sometimes we make sacrifices to look good than being comfortable. Most shoes that look fabulous are the ones that has at least 3-6 inch heels. To wear this high of a heel and to dance in these can be very challenging. I bet for most of you by the end of the night your poor feet are in pain. The first thing I want to do is to take them off, but I don't like walking barefooted on the street. So, I was on a hunt for cute flats that can fit into a small clutch.

At H&M I saw these cute gold flats and I immediately think this is going to solve the problem. It was difficult for me to find my size because I wear a size 6 and it didn't seem like they have too many. I have to really dig into the bottom of the box that it was sitting in. The flats come in 3 sizes such as 5-6 (36/37 Euro), 7-8 (38/39 Euro), and 9-10 (39/41 Euro).  There were only 2 sets left of 5-6 so I just had to grab it. If you do wear size 7/8, I remember seeing a lot of them so you may not need to worry about it too much. Well, let me take that back, it depends on where you go and the demographic there.

I tried on the flats when I got home and they were extremely comfortable. I think it comes in two colors gold and purple, but I am not completely sure. I picked gold because it is easier to match and it's a nice color for this season.  I am happy that I bought it and I am for sure going to put them to use!

My feet are going to like me now!

Outfit of the Day (OOTD)

Hi Everyone,

It's Friday! I hope all of you have something planned for this weekend. Unfortunately, I have to work..... boo!

Fall is here and it is very chilly outside. Ever since we had daylight saving, my sleep has gotten worse. It is getting dark at fuckin 5pm. What the hell? I feel like I should be in bed at 5pm..... Don't get me wrong, I do like Fall/Winter, but the sun is just setting too darn early..... Oh how I wish I was in Hawaii where they don't have to adjust their time. But if I was in Hawaii.... then I don't think I can wear the sweater and shoes that I have on today. I guess I can't have everything right?

Today, I brought out my long sweater with black leggings and faux fleece bootie. I also added a bright yellow and black scarf to show a little pop of color. The sweater is nice for Fall because it's not too thick and it can be easily worn underneath a jacket. I don't like sweaters that are too bulky. It is already hard enough to wear a jacket over it and I feel like a football player ready to tackle someone. Yeah, not something that I find attractive.

 These booties are very warm and will also be great with skinny jeans. It is a must have for Fall.

Skin and Hair Products

Hi Everyone,

Ever since I started using my Seikisho Mask White by Kose, I have also used another product by Kose called Junkisui refreshing spots serum.  The face mask helps suppresses melanin production and prevents the formation of age spots (you can look at my previous blog), whereas the spots serum help reduce the appearance of enlarged pores. I can see larger pores around my nose area that sometimes even makeup can't even cover. What causes large pores? It is usually genetics and age. Everyone has pores that provides oil to keep your skin soft and hydrated. Sometimes the pore can be dilated due to being clogged with oil. Although there are no such thing as shrinking large pores, we can reduce the appearance of the pores by getting rid of excess oil or debris. It is recommended to use product that contains retinol or vitamin C. I also want to try microdermabrasion which can cost a lot so in the mean time I am going to give this product a try.

This product is oil-free and it contains moutan bark extract and peony root extract blended with fennel extract, coix seed water, and soapberry extract. It helps firm the skin with excess sebum and enlarged pores. I only pat the sponge tip directly to the concerned area. I usually do this after my face mask and before I go to bed. So far, I haven't seen any improvement in the 3 weeks that I have used it. I'm going to continue to use it because it is expensive and I will let you know if it makes any difference in my skin ($20.80 @ evecare.com).

Let's go on to the hair product. I have heard people rave about how good Moroccan oil is and how soft it makes your hair feels. I've also been hesitant to buy it because it is $40-$45 dollars at the store. That is just way too much for me. Then I decided to check out ebay and I did find a seller that is selling it for $15.50. I couldn't believe how much cheaper it is on here. I took the risk and bought the product. Ever since then I am in love with it. It is true, it does make your hair softer and shinier. I would spray this on after I dry off my hair and you don't need very much, maybe 2-3 sprays. This bottle will last me quite a long time..... Now I am on a hunt for cheap moroccan shampoo and conditioner from ebay....... hmmmmm....

Fall/Winter scents - The smell of Goodies!

Hi Everyone,

Wow, can you believe Thanksgiving is almost here? I love Fall/Winter because of the holiday decorations and lots of food. I am ready to eat home cook meals, drink hot chocolates, and just hibernate (in other words, gain weight).  One of my favorite things to do during the this time of the year is to start stocking up on all of my favorite Holiday scents from Bath and Body Works or The Body Shop. Everyday that I am home, I would lit a scented candle in my room. Do you know what is my favorite scent? Yep, it is Vanilla Sugar Cookie! That is why my blog is named LuvSugarCookie or my email is Sugarcookie711. I love sugar cookie scented candles. It just puts me in the Holiday mood. I will share with you the candles that I have stocked up and which ones are my top 5 favs!

#1 Vanilla Sugar Cookie- still in the process of buying because I am trying out other candles that I also love, but this is still my #1 scent for sure!

#2 Frosted Cupcake- YUM!!! I am definitely going to buy more of this soon!  Bath and Body Works- $19.50 (14.5 oz, can burn 40-65 hours)- Ways to save some money: This is expensive for candles so always wait for the discount cards.

#3 Christmas cookie- My top three are very similar but they all have their differences (I just have to buy a small ($18.74, 65-90 hours) and a large jar ($24.99- can burn 110-150 hours) because one will only last a week- Ways to save money: Buy them at Bed Bath and Beyond because of the $5 off coupons you get in the mail.

#4 and #5 - Pumpkin Patch and lastly, Caramel Apple. Bath and Body Works- $9.50 (4 oz, can burn 25-40 hours). Ways to save money: Buy them when they are on promotion $5 each because $9.50 is still a lot for me or wait for the discount cards.

I am telling you, you guys have to try it!

Then I would get lotions and home fragrance oil from The Body Shop in Cranberry. This scent only comes out during the holiday season. The lotion is from a year ago and so is the fragrance oil, but you can pick these up now at the store for $7.50 (Oil) and $16 (lotion)

The smell of the lotion last about 2-3 hours after applying it and there is shimmer inside that makes your skin look glistening.

I also like the new scent that came out at Bath and Body Works called Warm Vanilla Sugar($12).  There is no other way to describe it except that the scent is very true to the name------warm, melted vanilla sugar...... YUM- O! Ways to save money: wait for promotion or discount cards.

Alright, gotta stop thinking about all these sweets!
