Black V (The San Francisco Fashion Event)

Hello Everyone,

I am so glad I was able to attend this fashion event because I have met so many great people and some fellow SF bloggers! This event is a non-profit benefit with all the proceeds going to the Fashion department at CCSF. There were a total of 8 designers and a room full of fashionistas ready to see some creative designs on the runway.

I spent most of the day painting the trim inside the house white... so I was craving for some color.
What is better than bright yellow?!!!

Since my jacket is so bright, I just want to tone it down with a simple large clutch.

Met some wonderful girls:

Next to me is Punam who is also a blogger. She has great style!!! I am obsessed with her vintage MONKEY hair bag!!!

Here is a behind the scene makeup by Pigment Cosmetics (can you just tell they love makeup with the big smile)

And the fashion:

Daniel Sudar (one of the designers) never disappoints me.

Overall, it was a great show. Good job to all the designers!
And of course, great job Astonish Magazine and Pigment Cosmetics!
Have a great night!

DIY- Interior house painting

Hello Everyone,

I have not been posting a whole lot these few weeks because I have taken on another project that I need to get done. It's been a while since my house has been remodeled and I am devoting a lot of my time to it. Who says you need a man? I want to share this experience to all the women out there because you can do a lot by yourself around the house. I am learning as I go and let me tell you, it is quite an experience. Not only is it cheaper to do it yourself, but the skill that you gained from it is something you can keep forever. That's what my grandfather always tell me.

Painting can be such a pain, but seeing the work after brings instant gratification. With painting, you want to make sure you lay down a good amount of plastic to cover the floor. My floor is dark so every little mistake with the white paint can be seen. To create a clean line, make sure you use tape and have a cloth ready to clean up any paint that does get on the floor.

I am painting over a tan color trim

Be careful, it is going to get very messy so wear something you don't want or that can be disposed.
My fingers always look like this by the end of the day. No nail polish!!! I made that mistake the first time and it got so messy.

Here are some pictures of after: Still need to paint the walls......

Definitely will keep you all updated and will try to continue my regular blog soon.
I will also be taking up sewing.... can't wait to show you what I will be making.

Have a great night!

ReFa Pro Platinum Electronic Roller

Hello Everyone,

My first encounter with ReFa was in LA when I saw it in a store and decided to try it out. I didn't know what it was and the sales person told me it will help me lose weight.... hahaha, hell yes, I was all for it. After seeing the price, I definitely passed on it. My next encounter with this was on Hautelook. I was so surprised that they knew what it was and it was half the cost. Yay!! And that is when I got my own ReFa.

For those who does not know what ReFa is, it is a revolutionary home device from Japan generated by solar energy to provide micro-current for a daily comprehensive face and body treatment. A million of these were sold in Japan in just over a year.

Just a few educational information- our skin has natural low electrical current that flows through and as we age, our bio-current levels decreases and our skin loses its elasticity. So, what this does is it acts as a daily micro-current that helps rejuvenates the skin and reactivates skin cells. Micro-current was used in the 80's to treat stroke victims that suffered from partial paralysis of their face. The treatment helps lift the paralysed muscles back into position and reduce the drooping- information taken from ReFa site.

Benefits of ReFa- shapes and contours facial/body lines, boosts moisture levels, improves blood circulation, tightens enlarges pores, improves skin texture, and reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

I bought this more than a month ago and have been testing it out. I have seen pictures where it lift the skin or shapes your face to make it skinner. I don't think I have seen any changes yet on my face, however, I haven't been using it religiously either. It does feel very good and I do feel my face tightening up instantly.

I used this when I am watching TV or just reading a book at night. Below are different positions that you can roll to mimic aesthetician's techniques.

Great gift for Mother's Day that is coming up!

That being said, I saw this box of cookie that reminds me of Skinny Cows, but this one is called got milk? I found this at World Market and it also comes in small packages of 100 calories. This is good for portion control because I tend to eat more than I should...... my greedy ass.

Have a great night!

China Glaze- Hunger Game collection

Hello Everyone,

This is a bit late, but I just finished reading the first book of The Hunger Games Trilogy on my kindle fire and I still feel the book is so much better than the movie.

As with other popular movies, China Glaze has came out with The Hunger Game nail polish collection.

The colors are not something I would wear for Spring or Summer, but maybe as we get closer to Fall because they are darker colors. I guess it's the color of the forrest with the green and tan/beige.

Here are the close up of the colors:

The names on these nail polish are:
Agro, Fast Track, Lux and Lush, Smoke and Ashes

I only picked up the mini collection for $13.95 with a $3.50 coupon and my Ulta points which only cost me $1.45- good deal!

Song that is currently on re-play in my head is Boyfriend- by Justin Bieber. See down below on my audio play.

MyGlam bag for the month of April

Hello Everyone,

This month's glam bag is all about Girls' Night Out. The bag for this month is in pink metallic. Not my favorite bag because it feels a bit cheap than the other ones.

Inside the bag are:
A pair of fake eyelashes by All-Belle. These lashes fits me just right, but I can tell they are a bit short for those who like long lashes. I only reuse the same fake lashes once or twice because I hate removing the glue and by the time I do remove all of it, the shape of the lashes look awkward. However, if you are gentle with it, you can reuse it up to 10 times.

Dermstore Lip Quench: Claims to give thin, dry lips a fuller, smoother, hydrated appearance. I have to agree with this. It has a very settled scent and it does make my lips feel moist. I carry this in my bag along with all the other lip products.. but I do reach for this tube a lot so that says a lot.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on eye pencil: I have been loving color eye pencils for spring. It gives my eye that pop of color on my lower lid without too much effort. The pencil glides on very smoothly and stays on for the entire day.

The color I got is in Junkie

The last two items in the bag are the eyeshadow and eyeliner brushes from MyGlam. They are travel size brushes that you can put in your makeup bag. The hair on the brushes are very soft, better quality than the ELF brushes by far. These two brushes are what I use when I travel for my eyes including a blending brush which is a must have. Kinda disappointed that they didn't include a blending brush....

Well, that is all I have in my bag for the month of April.
Have a great night!
