Butter London Nail Polish Review

Hello everyone,

I hope you guys didn't miss me much! I've been having some self reflecting moments and I am sure everyone goes through those phases.

Back to the blog... recently Ulta sent out a 20% off coupon to loyal members for almost anything in the store. I am surprised that some of the high ends are also included because of most the time they are excluded. I did buy some other items that I would like to review, but later after I have tried them out.

I do have other shades of Butter London nail polish in my collection, however, these are the only three I got this time. As you can tell, I am having a little Spring fever by the colors I have picked out. These colors are so beautiful together that I just have to talk about them.

Left to right: Molly- Coddled, Jasper, and Fruit Machine. I think I will be wearing these colors all Spring and Summer!

I love the packaging of these Butter London nail polish, but I think it is a hit or miss. Some of them you would need two to three coats, whereas others you would just need one. Maybe, these are just light colors that make them harder to apply and need more coats.

I was so happy to buy them and I couldn't wait, so I quickly paint them on my nails. From the pictures you can see how sloppy it was. Also, I never have the patience to wait for them to dry and end up messing them up. Anyway, with at least the two colors I have on, I applied three coats each.

Should you buy them? Yes, if you are a nail polish hoarder like me.

Just got home from the gym and I find it funny to see feminine pastel colors on my nails while wrapping up for my combat class.

A song I am listening to this month is from One Direction... I know... I am not a big fan but the song is so sweet. It is called "Little Things" I always have a soft spot for songs like this. See above for their music video.

Your hand fits in mineLike it’s made just for meBut bear this in mindIt was meant to beAnd I’m joining up the dotsWith the freckles on your cheeksAnd it all makes sense to me
I know you’ve never lovedThe crinkles by your eyesWhen you smile,You’ve never lovedYour stomach or your thighsThe dimples in your backAt the bottom of your spineBut I’ll love them endlessly
I won’t let these little thingsSlip out of my mouthBut if I doIt’s youOh it’s youThey add up toI’m in love with youAnd all these little things
You can't go to bedWithout a cup of teaAnd maybe that’s the reasonThat you talk in your sleepAnd all those conversationAre the secrets that I keepThough it makes no sense to me
I know you’ve never loved the sound of your voice on tapeYou never want to know how much weighYou still have to squeeze into your jeansBut you’re perfect to me

I won’t let these little thingsSlip out of my mouthbut if it’s trueIt’s youOh it’s youThey add up toI’m in love with youAnd all these little thingsYou’ll never love yourselfHalf as much as I love youYou’ll never treat yourself right darlin’But I want you toIf I let you knowI’m here for youMaybe you’ll love yourself like I love youOh..
I’ve just let these little thingsSlip out of my mouthBecause it’s youOh it’s youIt’s youThey add up toAnd I’m in love with youAnd all these little things

I won’t let these little thingsSlip out of my mouthBut if it’s trueIt’s youIt’s youThey add up toI’m in love with youAnd all your little things

Maybelline Color Whisper Lipstick Review

Hello everyone,

Maybelline just came out with a new line of lipsticks that are very build-able. It is called Color Whisper and there are 20 shades, but mostly in the pink and nude family. I only purchased 8 shades and, of course, it was during their buy one get one half off promotion (BOGO).

The packaging is amazing for the price you are paying. The lipstick is slimmer and skinner than most lipsticks.
On the left is the Color Whisper and the left is a regular size lipstick. As you can see in comparison, yes it has less product. The Color Whisper is 0.11oz, whereas the regular lipstick is 0.15oz. This is something you may want to think about when you are buying because you are paying the same price for a lipstick that has less product.

Here is how much product that is in the tube:

However, they are very pigmented and moist on your lips. A lot of the people mentioned it is similar to the Revlon Lip Butter which I don't think they are the same. Maybelline Color Whisper is not as heavy as the lip butters. They are somewhere in between the Lip Butters and Baby Lips. Personally, I prefer the Revlon Lip Butter because I like to feel the heavy moisture on lips. If you are someone who doesn't like the heaviness and is looking for something sheer. then you may like these a lot. They last about 2 hours before fading.

Swatches of the 8 shades:

I truly like the colors and I can see why some people like these. I do like them also, but not as much as the Lip Butters.

Should you try it? Yes, if the BOGOFO (buy one, get one half off) promotion still applies.

Now, a shout out to the Niners for making the Super Bowl!!!

Gold and Red in the city!

Until next time,
stay healthy, beautiful, and inspired

Have a great night!

OOTD: Michael Kors Gold Glam Studded High Top

Hello,

I am sure everyone has their lazy days. My lazy days are just wearing anything baggy with a pop of color. I just like being comfortable and warm during this time of the year. Everyone should own a pair of nice kicks even if you're a heels type of girl.

I have been wearing my Michael from Michael Kors Gold shoes with baggy sweats. These shoes go with almost everything. I like shoes that I can slip on and go without having to worry if it's going to match. Having shoes that are versatile to any outfit is a plus!

Here is my favorite kicks at the moment:

L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse Wet Shine Stain Review

Hello everyone,

There are so many new drugstore makeup that just came out and they are just flying off the shelves. If you like try the new collections, I would recommend you to get to the store soon before they sell out.

L'Oreal came out with an entire collection of Wet Shine Stains, nail polish, and eyeshadow palettes. I picked up some of each, but for this blog I will just be reviewing the Wet Shine Stain/Lipgloss.

For this collection, there are 11 different shades of lip stains. I only bought 5 shades and Walgreens is having $1.00 off each this week + another $1.00 off from their coupon book.

Before I go into more details, most of you know that YSL is owned by L'Oreal. YSL came out with their Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain that is selling for $32 a pop. I have tried it at Sephora and it didn't make a big impression on me plus I couldn't wrap my head around paying that much for a lip gloss. So, when L'Oreal came out with the Wet Shine Stain, it is very similar to the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain. Both of them have the same applicator and the pigmentation of the L'Oreal is great, especially the dark colors. After all, they are made by the same company.

Instead of paying $32 for one, I can buy four of the L'Oreal Wet Stain from the drugstore.
Here are the swatches from left to right: Pink Perseverance, Pink Resistance, Rose On and On, Infinite Fuchsia, and Endless Red. I like pink/nude colors, so my favorite would have to be Rose On and On.

After I swatch the lip stains on my hand, I tried to wipe it off to see if it really is a lip stain. Wow, the colors are still on my hand. To remove this, I had to use a makeup remover and scrub hard on my hand to get it off. So, I believe there is no question about the staining. When I applied this on my lips, it didn't feel sticky. It's nice to have the glossy look without your lips feeling that there is too much product.

Overall, it is a nice product to try if you are a lip junkie like me. I can never have enough lip products in my bag.

As most of you know, I like to decorate, so it's almost Valentine's day and I had to feel some love in the room. All of the Valentine's Day items are 40% off at Joann's fabric store so here is what I got:

I know... I always get socks for different occasions. These are knee high socks and will look cute with boots.
I got some heart lights that I hung around my vanity. Just the little details that makes me happy when I see it.

And here is what I have on my vanity- products that I use almost everyday.

Until next time,
stay healthy, beautiful, and inspired.

Have a great night!

Review on Maybelline: Color Tattoo Metal 24hr cream eyeshadow and Limited Edition Baby Lips

Hello everyone,

I am back with another makeup review!

Maybelline just came out with new shades for their 24hr cream eyeshadow collection and I am not impressed at all. I like the idea that they are metallic shades, but the product itself is not easy to apply. There is a total of 5 shades, however, I was only able to get 4. The four colors I got are: Silver Strike, Gold Rush, Electric Blue, and Inked in Pink. The fifth color is called In Barely Branded and it's nude beige.

With these products, it's hard to apply with a brush. I find it easier to apply them with your finger. The color that I was most disappointed in is Gold Rush. It's flaky and splotchy. Very hard to get the color to show up on my eyelids. On the positive side, they do last throughout the day. My favorite out of the collection is Inked in Pink. This one goes on smoothly, I didn't experience any flakiness and the color is great.

Moving onto the next product which is the Baby Lips. I love these products. They go on smoothly, smells good, and keeps my lips moist. There are 5 different new limited edition shades for Baby Lips. Again, I only picked up four shades: Coral Crush, Yummy Plummy, Twinkle, and Melon Mania. My favorite shade is Melon Mania, but all of the shades are great. With these lip tints, I don't need to use a mirror to apply them because they are sheer and very forgiving. You can pick these up at your local Walgreens or drugstores, but keep in mind, they are hard to find at most locations.

Until next time,
stay healthy, beautiful, and inspired.

Have a great night!

Victoria's Secret: Diamonds After Dark eyeshadow palettes

Hello everyone,

Happy New Year!!!
It feels like I have not posted a blog in ages.

For all you ladies out there, Victoria's Secret is having their semi-annual sale now! This is the time where I would stock up on most of my undergarments and sleepwear. In addition to those, I also picked up some makeup and found a scent that I really like for summer.

I have tried VS makeup line before and they are decent, however, they are not comparable to Tarte, MAC, or Urban Decay. FYI- they are made in Italy so the quality is actually very nice and well made.  With the sale they are $8.66 for a duo eyeshadow palette. I definitely will not buy they at regular price for $16.

The shades that I got are: Opulent, Jewel Thief, and Gold Fusion

The packaging is cute with rhinestones

My favorite palette is the Opulent (Purple and light pink eyeshadow on the upper left corner). I have not tried them on, but from the swatch, I didn't get too much fallout which is very good. The eyeshadow palette in Gold Fusion (eyeshadow palette on the bottom) is great for an everyday light/natural look.

The other items that I picked up is the summer edition from the Victoria's Secret Bombshell collection. I am not sure why they already have the summer edition out when it is still winter, but it smell so good. This will be, of course, what I would wear for summer. It has Jasmine Dew, White Amber, and Starfruit combined to give you this settle/soft scent that makes you feel like you're in paradise.

Here is a quick outfit of the day: I am feeling boots with high knee socks this season

As part of my New Year's resolution, I am going to be more proactive in taking care of my health so I am going to Bikram Yoga again and also try out TRX which I am very excited about.

Until next time,
stay healthy, beautiful, and inspired.

Have a great night!
