Skin Food cosmetic store

Hello Everyone,

I am obsessed with the store called Skin Food. It is well known in Korea and Internationally. I am so happy there is one in Northern California because most of them are in Southern California. The first store in Northern California is inside the Stonestown Mall. There is only a total of 6 stores in America. Their motto is "Food that is good for your health, is also good for your skin." All the products they carry are made in Korea. Korean and Japanese products are always well packaged. Skin Food is a company that travels all over the world to find the best and healthiest food ingredient to use in their  skin and cosmetic line.

If I ever have my dream cosmetic line, it will be similar to this concept. I don't know what else to say, but if you have one of these stores near you, go check them out.

Their cosmetic setup is so adorable. They have a small basket for you to put your items in. The basket even has a ribbon tied to it.

This is their logo:

I did purchase a few items to share so you can get a feel of the store.
Salmon Darkcircle Concealer Cream:
This reminds me of an old Chinese medicine packaging, but I like it because it is different. It contains salmon extract and oil.

There are only two colors: #1 and #2.

It is very smooth and creamy. Similar to the Erase Paste from Benefits.

Peach Sake Pore BB Cream with SPF 20 PA+
In the store there were about 7 different shades for this brand whereas Missha BB cream only has 2-3 shades. I like the look of this on my skin than Missha BB cream. There are also other BB creams that are made from Apple Cinnamon, Berry Berry Tea, and Rose Lemon Tea.

I wear NC30-35 in MAC and I picked up 05 in honey beige.

It went on smoothly and dries matte without feeling greasy.

Sweet Sparkling Water Eau de Toilette
I enjoy the scent very much. It is fruity with a hint of floral- infused with orange, bergamont, peach, geranium, and freesia. It is also made with sparking water.

Of course, I had to pick up some lip products.
Honey pot lip balm- in Mandarin and Honey. The smell is not overwhelming and it is absolutely adorable. They are small enough to have in your bag and you will get a lot of compliments. The little stick on the side is for you to apply the lip balm, but I don't find it useful. I just use my finger. The jar is very small so if you do have a bit larger finger, it may be hard for you to get the product so the stick may help. It has a jelly texture and they all go on clear.

The last product I got is the Apple Can Multi-blusher in Rose Gold. Again, the packaging is so cute. The tin can is shaped like an apple. It can be used as a blush or a blush highlighter.

There is a mirror on the top and comes with a small puff.

Here is a swatch of the color. It looks light on my hand, but it appears more on the face. Overall, it is bit light and it is easy to pack on more if you like more color.

After purchasing these products, the salesperson was able to give me a lot of samples to try:

Several different masks

Black Sesame Hot mask- It will heat up once you apply it on your face.

Shower gel made out of grape seed oil

Makeup remover q-tip

Ancient Rice Gift Set: Toner and Emulsion
It is mixed with 3 different types of rice: Red rice: enriched with antioxidant, Green rice: chlorophylls for anti-inflammatory properties, black rice: enriched with anthocyanins  to increase elasticity in skin.

And lastly, Fresh Apple sparkling pore gift set: Toner and Emulsion- carbonated toner with fresh unripe green apple extract to help tighten your pores

They also have an online website if you would like more information about their company.

Until next time, stay healthy, beautiful, and inspired.
