Essie Poppy Razzi Collection for Summer 2012

Hello Everyone,

Are you all ready for summer? You are not ready for summer until you get these gorgeous neon colors from Essie. They are fun to wear and compliments a lot of skin tones, especially when you are nice and tan. When I saw this collection, I went bunkers for them and NEED to get all four colors.

From left to right: Lights, Camera, Action, and Bazooka! Love the names!

I always have nail polish on, however, I don't have them on at this moment because I am still painting my house. My fingers feel naked and I don't like to show them off. I just need to suck it up and finish my house project so I can wear these beautiful colors before summer is over.

Here are the bottles up close (please ignore the paint on my nail):
Lights
Camera

Action

Bazooka (looks a bit red here because of the lighting- it is reddish orange)- one of my favorite!!! I do have this color on my toes and it's fabulous!

The collection just came out and they should still be in your local drugstores or beauty stores. Run!!

Have a great night!

Influenster Vox Box Spring 2012

Hello Everyone,

I am so excited to receive my first Vox Box!! For those who does not know what Influenster Vox Box is, it is through a website called Influenster.com (obviously) that people can get the inside scoop of the latest products and brands to hit the market. If you are a blogger or a youtuber, there is a higher chance for you to get a Vox Box. The Vox Box is free and is only for the people selected depending on how influential you are.  Just check it out if you are interested. I have tried some of these products before, but not all.

Moving on.... I would like to share what's inside my Vox Box for Spring 2012

There is a card with all the items listed that are inside the box and the retail price.

The products are very well packaged with lots of peanuts inside the box.

Ok, let's dig in...
First thing, Dr Scholls Ball of Foot- I need this!!! I can't wait to try it out.

A travel size Aveeno Daily Moisturizering Body Wash- I do travel, so this is great for me to carry with me on those trips to try. It smells good.

New advanced formula Chapstick with SPF 50+: It also indicate that it works for all seasons (Winter to Summer). This may also be on my list for best drugstore lip balms....it has a slight lemon scent which I kinda like.

Oh no.... most of you probably know how I feel about these type of nail polish.... I prefer actual liquid nail polish over these sticker ones... but hey, since I got it for free I will try it again. I have tried it in the past and my issue is, for the life of me, cannot trim the excess off perfectly. It always look a bit messy and I can't stand it. I am jealous of those who can because I heard they do last a long time without chipping.

I can tell you already that this is great. I got it in MyGlam bag and it covers my blemishes. So glad to get another one.... yay!!

oohh... something to eat.... looks healthy! It is made with whole soy, real fruit, gluten free, and 0g trans fat.... just what I need to get ready for summer.

And the last thing in the box is a regular size bottle of Bath and Body Works fine fragrance mist in Twilight Wood. I have seen this in the store, but didn't buy it because I prefer more of the fruity scents. It has a combination of fruity and musky scent, so a good transition from day to night.

Well, that is all I have in my Vox Box for Spring 2012.... and I will be posting my reviews on their website soon.
I hope I get selected again next month!'

Have a great night!

MyGlam Bag for May

Hello Everyone,

Have you subscribed to MyGlam bag yet? There are so many of these $10 a month subscriptions out there. I do still like MyGlam, but this month, I was not impressed by the items in my bag.

One thing I like about this subscription is the bag..... I used them to keep the items in my tote organized. I put my pads or any other feminine hygienes (TMI) in one bag and in another bag I would have my lipgloss.  Definitely a plus.

This theme for this month is "Love is in the air"
Inside the bag are:
2 brushes: A concealer and a eyeliner brush. I do like these brushes that they have and are compact enough to put in your purse. I am not worried about losing them because they are not too expensive.

A sample of Philosophy Love Sweet Love eau de toilette- It's very settle and sweet. Mostly a day time fragrance, but I normally don't care if it is for night time or day time  as long as I like the smell I will wear it. This is a scent that I can see myself wearing on a daily basis.

Miss Beauty Nail Bling: I do like the design of them, but I would prefer to wear nail polish over the sticker polish. I am so bad at trimming the excess with a nail file and it ends up looking horrible.

The last thing in the bag is a lipstick from Studio Gear in Pink Blush.

The packaging is very sleek and clean looking.

The color is cool tone pink with a slight red undertone.

Here is the swatch:

I do like the color me, however, I only used it once and the lipstick broke off.... hmmmm... that says something about the quality of the packaging... I had to push it back in and now every time I twist the lipstick up, the side scraps along the edges as you can see in the picture.

Again, I am not overly impressed with this months' bag. I hope next month will be much better.

Have a great night!

Black V (The San Francisco Fashion Event)

Hello Everyone,

I am so glad I was able to attend this fashion event because I have met so many great people and some fellow SF bloggers! This event is a non-profit benefit with all the proceeds going to the Fashion department at CCSF. There were a total of 8 designers and a room full of fashionistas ready to see some creative designs on the runway.

I spent most of the day painting the trim inside the house white... so I was craving for some color.
What is better than bright yellow?!!!

Since my jacket is so bright, I just want to tone it down with a simple large clutch.

Met some wonderful girls:

Next to me is Punam who is also a blogger. She has great style!!! I am obsessed with her vintage MONKEY hair bag!!!

Here is a behind the scene makeup by Pigment Cosmetics (can you just tell they love makeup with the big smile)

And the fashion:

Daniel Sudar (one of the designers) never disappoints me.

Overall, it was a great show. Good job to all the designers!
And of course, great job Astonish Magazine and Pigment Cosmetics!
Have a great night!

DIY- Interior house painting

Hello Everyone,

I have not been posting a whole lot these few weeks because I have taken on another project that I need to get done. It's been a while since my house has been remodeled and I am devoting a lot of my time to it. Who says you need a man? I want to share this experience to all the women out there because you can do a lot by yourself around the house. I am learning as I go and let me tell you, it is quite an experience. Not only is it cheaper to do it yourself, but the skill that you gained from it is something you can keep forever. That's what my grandfather always tell me.

Painting can be such a pain, but seeing the work after brings instant gratification. With painting, you want to make sure you lay down a good amount of plastic to cover the floor. My floor is dark so every little mistake with the white paint can be seen. To create a clean line, make sure you use tape and have a cloth ready to clean up any paint that does get on the floor.

I am painting over a tan color trim

Be careful, it is going to get very messy so wear something you don't want or that can be disposed.
My fingers always look like this by the end of the day. No nail polish!!! I made that mistake the first time and it got so messy.

Here are some pictures of after: Still need to paint the walls......

Definitely will keep you all updated and will try to continue my regular blog soon.
I will also be taking up sewing.... can't wait to show you what I will be making.

Have a great night!

ReFa Pro Platinum Electronic Roller

Hello Everyone,

My first encounter with ReFa was in LA when I saw it in a store and decided to try it out. I didn't know what it was and the sales person told me it will help me lose weight.... hahaha, hell yes, I was all for it. After seeing the price, I definitely passed on it. My next encounter with this was on Hautelook. I was so surprised that they knew what it was and it was half the cost. Yay!! And that is when I got my own ReFa.

For those who does not know what ReFa is, it is a revolutionary home device from Japan generated by solar energy to provide micro-current for a daily comprehensive face and body treatment. A million of these were sold in Japan in just over a year.

Just a few educational information- our skin has natural low electrical current that flows through and as we age, our bio-current levels decreases and our skin loses its elasticity. So, what this does is it acts as a daily micro-current that helps rejuvenates the skin and reactivates skin cells. Micro-current was used in the 80's to treat stroke victims that suffered from partial paralysis of their face. The treatment helps lift the paralysed muscles back into position and reduce the drooping- information taken from ReFa site.

Benefits of ReFa- shapes and contours facial/body lines, boosts moisture levels, improves blood circulation, tightens enlarges pores, improves skin texture, and reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

I bought this more than a month ago and have been testing it out. I have seen pictures where it lift the skin or shapes your face to make it skinner. I don't think I have seen any changes yet on my face, however, I haven't been using it religiously either. It does feel very good and I do feel my face tightening up instantly.

I used this when I am watching TV or just reading a book at night. Below are different positions that you can roll to mimic aesthetician's techniques.

Great gift for Mother's Day that is coming up!

That being said, I saw this box of cookie that reminds me of Skinny Cows, but this one is called got milk? I found this at World Market and it also comes in small packages of 100 calories. This is good for portion control because I tend to eat more than I should...... my greedy ass.

Have a great night!
