Project Tin Pan- Makeup

Hello Everyone,

I was looking around my room the other day and I have so much makeup that I need to start using them. This project started on YouTube and I would like bring it to my blog. For those who are not familiar, Project Tin Pan is a pause in buying new makeup products until the ones you have purchased hit pan (meaning you can see the pan on the bottom of the makeup). This will help me save money and also make sure that I used up the products I have already.

Here are my rules:
1-  I will be picking 10 items that I will be using until I hit pan. For me, that means making sure it is completely used up. The ones that I picked are normally my favorites.
2-  I need to hit pan on 2 out of the 4 eyeshadow colors in my Tom Ford palette. Yes, I will be wearing this a whole lot!!!
3-  For the eye pencil, I just need to use it to a point where I cannot sharpen and hold anymore
4-  For the concealer palette, I need to hit pan on at least 3 colors
5-  The rest of the items I have are pretty self explanatory
6-   I cannot buy any new makeup products until I used these up. For example, when I hit pan on my foundation, then I can buy a new one.

Anything that I need on a daily basis such as moisturizer and face cleaning products I can buy because I go through them pretty quick.

Here are the products (some of them I have been using and almost hit pan, but I want to make sure I finish it all up):
Laura Gellar Balance and Brighten- I use this everyday for contouring.

Graftobian concealer- I love this palette... it goes on smooth and have all the necessary colors that I need when I travel.

One of my favorite drugstore foundation:
Revlon colorstay in color 370

Tinted primer in bronze

Ben Nye powder to keep your face oil-free and matte

Tarte  natural cheek stain

Maybelline Master Precise
Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil

Bite Lip Gloss in the color Dolcetto. I like this gloss so much because it stays on for almost the whole day without having to reapply. I know some people don't like the smell and thinks it is a bit too sticky (mostly because of the honey ingredient) which doesn't bother me at all. One complaint from me would be that it is hard to get the product out.... it seems like the tube is a bit small for the wand.

I am saving the best for last... my Tom Ford eyeshadow palette in Cognac Sable. I can wear these colors every day and it is very versatile from day to night.

Alright, wish me luck!

Until next time,
stay healthy, beautiful, and inspired.

Have a great night!

One of those lazy, random days....

Hello Everyone.

Do you have days where you just don't feel like changing what you are wearing at home, like your pajamas? I do (embarrassing to admit). Actually, I have many of those days. During 'those' type of days, I break all kinds of fashion rules. I am not perfect. If I feel comfortable in what I am wearing, heck, I am going to wear it out, especially if I just need to run some quick errands or walk my dog. Why spend those extra minutes deciding what to wear and changing... yep, you know what I am talking about... those lazy ass days.

Here is an example of a fashion no-no, but I still do it.

I caught myself in the act. I was extremely comfortable in my home shorts and even though it was cold out, I just put on a pair of UGGS to go walk my dog .... those lazy ass days I tell you. Believe me, I had days worse than this too.

Anyways, I am loving this 3 rings set from Forever21. I have been wearing this for four days straight.

Along with these plastic no prescription white frames that I got for $5 online.

Until next time,

Have a great night!

OOTD: 2 ways to wear a woven shirt dress

Hello Everyone,

For those beauty and fashion lovers, I hope most of you were able to attend Fashion's Night Out last week because I forgot about it and I wished I was there. I heard so much good things and I will definitely not miss the next one.

Today's OOTD will be two ways of how to style a woven shirt dress. It's nice to have different options for an outfit and to be able to just add something simple that will give the outfit a whole different look. With the shirt dress, it is always good to add a belt to give your waist some shape.

And just by adding a simple black skinny pants and boots, the dress becomes a shirt.

On my eyes, I kept it basic with gray eyeshadow.

Until next time,

Have a great night!

Frog Prince bookends

Hello Everyone,

My favorite place to shop for room/house decor is at Pier 1 Imports. Yes, it is a bit pricy, but most of the items there are well made. The best way to shop at Pier 1 is to look at their clearance section. Hey, there is no shame in that. I was excited to find my frog prince book ends there. I use the bookends for my Kindle which I have next to my bed in case I can't sleep at night.

It makes me happy just looking at it..... because I am romantic at heart.

So, what is the point of this blog? Nothing, much..... I just like to share what makes me happy AND that you can find great things in the clearance section of Pier 1.

Until next time,
stay healthy, beautiful, and inspired

Have a great night!

My holy grail product for the month of August

Hello Everyone,

I will be posting a product each month of what I think is the holy grail. It will be something that I LOVE and used everyday for that month. So, drum roll please...... the super star product for the month of August is...... the Laura Geller spackle tinted under make-up primer in bronze. Hands down! Best primer I have used so far. I like this more than the smashbox photo finish  foundation primer, however, it does come pretty close to the Benefit cosmetics POREfessional which I also like.

This serves the same purpose as all the other face primers that helps you achieve a flawlessly smooth finish, BUT it also gives you this dewy, light shimmer bronze tint that push this product over the top. It is very light weight and a little bit goes a long way.

Another reason I like this product is you can wear it alone, especially on those lazy days or just days when you don't want to wear a lot of makeup. This will give your face a nice glow all year round.

The only negative thing I can say about this product is it did break me out on the first day. Then I gave it a second chance and I was fine. If you do have oily skin, it may break you out. I recommend this product to those who have dry to normal skin.

I believe this product is sold at Ulta or any beauty stores that carry Laura Geller products.
I got mine on QVC because they have the super-size (4oz) and it cost just as much as the regular size (2oz) in the store. The color looks dark, but it is great for ALL skin tones. Again, this bottle will last me a long time because a small pump goes a long way.

Laura Geller has a lot of great makeup products and this is one of the best new product that just came out.

Until next time,

Have a great night!

OOTD: Oxford shoes

Hello Everyone,

Time to take out my oxford shoes and play. These shoes are timeless! It adds a little spunk, a little vintage, a little style.... I know these shoes are not for everyone, but if this is for you, go check them out!

Shoes: Halogen

They look good with skirts, leggings, and skinny jeans. You definitely want to show them off so don't wear anything too baggy on the bottom.

Skinny Pants: Target
Top: Banana Republic

Necklace: Jewelmint

I LOVE anything with a heart and a lock. It makes me feel safe... if that doesn't sound weird.

Then with the green pants, I have to add a little color to my eyes.

Until next time,
Stay healthy, beautiful, and inspired.

Have a great night!
