What I got for Christmas!

Hello Everyone,

I hope all of you had a great time with your family and love ones. Happy Holiday!
Christmas is about spending time with your family, but getting/giving presents are extra perks. I want to share with you what I got before I start using them.

Here it goes..........

Guess what these are? If you are into makeup, you will probably know what they are.

They are makeup brushes from Sigma Beauty. Makeup brushes are a great to invest in because they can last forever if you take care of them properly.
My bf got them for me. What a sweetheart. This is the eye kit brush set which I think is one of the essentials to have in your makeup kit. There are 7 brushes... oops I forgot to hold up one more brush...
It has the eye liner brush, pencil brush, tapered blending brush, eye shading brush, large shader brush, small angle brush, and medium angled shading brush all for $52. This is a great price and the quality is very comparable to MAC.

Synthetic Precision Kit: Precision flat brush, Precision round brush, Precision angled brush, and Precision angled brush - $42. These are great for smoothing out concealers around the eyes, around the nose, contouring the hollow of the cheeks and sides of the nose, etc... Good to get to small crevasses that your large concealer brush cannot.

Synthetic Kabuki Kit: Flat kabuki brush, Round kabuki, Angled kabuki, and tapered kabuki- $56. This set is similar to the set above but larger. These brushes gives your face a high definition effect, especially if you are in front of a camera or for photos. Can be used for both powder and liquid foundations.

To extend the life of your brushes, they need to be deep cleaned on a bi-weekly or monthly basis depending on how often you use them. I use brush cleanser to clean my brushes daily and for deep cleaning, I will use baby shampoo to get rid of all the buildups. The part I hate the most is drying them. Sometimes they don't feel dry the next day when I need to use them again so I also asked for a dry n' shape. This will help your brushes dry in 4-6 hours AND help keep their shape- $29

With everything, Sigma also give out a complimentary blending brush. I like this brush so much that I use this instead of my other blending brushes.

Next are gifts from my brother and my sister. They are the best! I got a gift card to Nordstrom, 2 warm fuzzy socks, Shea butter lotion, and a cupcake scented candle. My feet are always cold during the winter so these socks will definitely help keep them warm. With the lotion it will keep my feet moist and soft. Of course, I love candles, especially with cookie, cupcake, or anything sweet scented are my favorite.

My sister gave me two bottles of lotion that smells so good. Country Chic (one of the best lotion) and Japanese Cherry Blossom

Wait... Mochi also go some presents too!
My parents got her an awesome dog necklace/collar from BB Simon. She is so spoiled. They are very well made with real leather and swarovski crystals. Pink is her favorite color.

I like how the collar is pink and has some silver leather peaking out in random places.

Mochi also got more toys!
Her daddy got her a cute squeaky moose wearing a scarf.
Her uncle and aunty her a bag of pink toys.

She is a very happy puppy!

I put on a red bow on the top of her head and she hates it so much that she pulled it off. Now her hair is all over the place..... just the way she likes it. Such a trouble maker.

Oh and another thing I got for Christmas is this new layout for my blog. Thank you Ryan!
Alright, have a great night!

Follow me around on Christmas Eve

Hello Everyone,

I have always wonder what people are doing on Christmas Eve besides shopping or cooking.... Normally my family will celebrate Christmas the day before, but this year we will be celebrating on Monday because that is when everyone is available. So today, I decide to share with you what I did. Nothing interesting so don't get too excited.

This morning at the peak of dawn I felt something wet on my face and I opened my eyes, there sits Mochi with her nose all up in my face. I continue to ignore her, but she keeps jumping around on my bed. After 30 minutes she fell back to sleep and I did too. The next thing I know it is 11am. Time to wake up... too bad for wanting to sleep in longer....

First thing in the morning I always drink a cup of tea. I got my Snowman cup from Pier One. It makes it so much fun to drink out of.

I baked some Christmas sugar cookies last night....

and will be having some with my tea this morning. Nice and crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Yummy!

After my unhealthy breakfast, I take two adult vitamin gummies. Hahaha. I won't go into this much detail, but I thought it will be funny to show a picture of the bottle. But seriously, I do take this every day.

Then it's time to put on some makeup.

Since I have so much time today, I decide to clean my room and my shoe closet.  In one corner of my room, I have most of my nail polish and perfumes sitting on top of a drawer. You wouldn't believe how dusty it was. I am glad I took the time to wipe the dust off and clean it up a bit.
Now it looks beautiful again.....

Yes, there is a lot of perfumes that I have collected over the years that I love. There are just too many to list.

I also save a lot of the samples that I get on the side.

After cleaning my shoe closet, Oly Cow!!! I came up with a large bag full of shoes....... I feel like Ms. Santa Claus. Size 6 anyone? Salvation Army here we come.

Like I said, this is a follow me around... so I did go to the bank before I dropped off this big bag of shoes at the Salvation Army.

I am sure Salvation Army was very glad to see me.

The person that was there told me they don't close until 6pm today so I told him I will be coming back with another bag. Before I went back home, I drove to Ulta because it is their last day for the 20% discount. I didn't buy much but somehow I spent $40.... Yikes....

I was so hungry after all the cleaning and lifting so I decided to go to Ranch 99 to buy some items for tomorrow's dinner and also to get some dim sum to-go.

My favorite... shrimp dumplings and shu mai!!!

I went back home to eat and catch some football while cleaning out one of my closet. It was a great game. Go Niners!

Another large bag of clothes (a stuff animal that Mochi doesn't like to play with) to donate and I also donated my stereo system that I haven't used in years.

Now, I just want to light my candles... pumpkin spice and a Halloween candle

Drink my sleepytime herbal tea (it doesn't make me sleepy, but just makes me feel more relaxed)

Put on my onesie that I got from a white elephant. I think these are sexy... I don't think my bf thinks the same.

Watch all of my favorite Christmas movies from Netflix: My bf introduce me to It's a Wonderful Life and now it is one of my favorite movies to watch. It's just one of those movies that makes you feel good and appreciate what you have.

And just have a quiet night with Mochi.

What did y'all do today?
Merry Christmas! Cheers!

Winging It Earring from Mark.

Hello Everyone,

I have some people requesting for me to put up some pictures of the Winging It Earring from Mark and I thought this is the best time to do it because it looks great with a lot of the Holiday dresses. It is $16 on my website at http://dsu.mymarkstore.com. There are two colors: Hematite/Fuschia and Goldtone/Black. I thought the fuschia color looks the best and it stands out more.

This is such a beautiful piece. It has an antique feel to it and the color looks great on any skin tone. I know I am not dressed appropriately for this because it is definitely for an evening out and will look very nice with a dress.

Here is the Goldtone/black

Feel free to checkout other pieces too!
Have a great night!

MyGlam bag or Birchbox??

Hello Everyone,

There is a new website created by a makeup guru on Youtube named Michelle Phan that is similar to Birchbox. It is $10 a month to receive a makeup bag full of samples or 4-5 full size makeup products. I do enjoy MyGlam more because each month there will be a different makeup bag full of products and they also have Urban Decay, one of my favorite makeup brands. I will still be subscribed to Birchbox because they focus on different products that are geared towards older clienteles which I also enjoy.

MyGlam comes in a pink chrome color envelope in the mail

Inside is a cute makeup travel bag full of products.

The makeup bag also comes with a mirror

Welcome card from Michelle Phan and other coupons that you can use to buy from Urban Decay or Mai Couture.

A full size eyeshadow palette from Urban Decay in the color Sin. This is a very versatile color and it is also the best-selling shadows of all time.

Full size NYX matte lip cream in Istanbul (SML c06) and a sample size Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer potion

Sample size mascara from Tarte (it claims to increase lash volume by 424%)- can't wait to try it. The last item is a sample packet of blush paper by Mai Couture in Prettyful. I have never tried blush paper before so I will give it a try.

Is it worth subscribing to? Yes, it opens you to all types of brands that you may not have tried or buy. Plus you get a free makeup bag every month..... all for just $10.

An extra perk is the stylists that are involved such as Promise, Jessica, Andrea, and Bethany from Youtube. They will be using these products to show you how to create certain looks.

Oh, and I made some pancakes from my mini Christmas pancake molds from William Sonoma. Add some syrup and it's all good!

Have a good night!
