Pajama of the Night (POTN): Makes a good Christmas Gift!

Hi Everyone,

Yep, it's going to be a lazy night for me..... but that doesn't mean that I can't be comfortable in my new pajamas from Victoria's Secret.  I am usually a baggy sweat and t-shirt kinda gal at home, but when I saw this collection, I was thrilled. I love the thermal-look and the colorful stripes of this pajama! This pj makes me feel like a big kid who is ready for Christmas. I believe it was a week ago that Victoria's Secret has some kind of promotion on their website if you buy a set of pj, you get the matching slippers for free. I think it is still going on so you can grab a set or give it as a gift. If you don't like stripes or thermal, you can also get flannel (the red one is very adorable- next POTN). I am ready for Christmas (^^ rushing downstairs to open gifts and eating lots and lots of mochi balls!)

Fireside Long Jane Pajama Sale: (original price $49.50) $39.50 + free slippers (price for slipper $25) + $10 off coupon = $29.50 + free slippers YAY!!!
The shirt has a scoopneck henley top and soft velour trim at the neckline and the sleeves.

Here are the matching thermal slippers that also has the velour material on the top

On the bottom of these thermal slippers are little dots of rubber material that prevents you from slipping if you have hardwood floors. You can also see the Victoria's Secret Logo, but who really cares right?

Just another gift idea for you...... till next time

Delish Mochi Balls!

Hi Everyone,

A month ago I found a place in the tenderloin district located in San Francisco that sells bomb-ass mochi balls.  The place is called Lee's Sandwiches and it is located across the street from Turtle Tower.  This is a sandwich franchise that sells Vietnamese Bahn Mi for $3 which is pretty cheap and tasty, however, there are other Vietnamese deli's that do taste better. The good thing about them is that they are very consistent.
I don't really going there for the sandwiches (maybe sometimes) but I do go there mainly for their prepacked mochi balls. It comes in a pack of 4 and I think there are 4-5 different fillings (red bean, black sesame, coconut, strawberry, and I forget what the last one is).  The mochi balls are not made by Lee's Sandwiches they just sell it there. It is a bakery called Huy Ky that is located in San Diego and has been in business for 25 years.  You are probably wondering how did I come across buying mochi balls from Lee's Sandwiches ...... well, one day I was having a huge craving for mochi balls and since I go to Turtle Tower quite often, I thought maybe they do sell mochi's here. I was so happy to see that they do and decided to give it a try. What do you know..... I fell in love with them..... I have tried different types of mochi's and  these are just soooo good. Once you bite into it, it has a nice soft, chewy,  and sweet, consistency that just melts in your mouth...... I don't know about you, but I am drooling already..... Yum-o!

I am talking about mochi balls, not those wanna be mochi ice cream balls. I am not a fan of Mochi Ice Cream Balls because I don't find the outer layer chewy enough and it's mainly a ball of ice cream (which is good, don't get me wrong), but it just doesn't taste like the authentic mochi's (You know what I mean.... I think).

Even though these pre-packed mochi balls are not as good as the freshly made ones, they are close enough. I know there are some out there that are really dry in the middle or the dough is too chewy or there is too much corn starch packed on top..... this on the other hand, is just right. My favorites are the azuki bean (red bean) AND.....

the black sesame ones.... They are $1.50 for a pack of 4.

I am Taiwanese and we are also known to make good mochi balls besides the Japanese. Another type of mochi that I like is the ones they have on top of the shaved ice..... those are my absolute favorite! The mochi balls that they have on top of froyos have nothing on these babies here. I can only show you pictures because I haven't found a place in the city that I like..... I know there is a place in LA, but the ones in Taiwan are awesome!

HOLY SHIIITT Look at these desserts.....

The cream and pink balls here are the ones that I am talking about.....
I would die to find a place in the city that serves GOOD shaved ice with freshly made mochi balls......

Drooling*****

Pros and Cons: My Beauty Diary Strawberry Yogurt Mask

Hi Everyone,

I am in the process of testing different skin care items and so far I still like the Kose Mask White. As I have explained in my previous blog that it prevents aging spots and helps remove impurities. Now, I am looking for something that will bring moisture to my face. One of the most recent item that I have tried is My Beauty Diary Strawberry Yogurt Mask that I got from iMomoko.com. This website sells a lot of the products that I am currently using and items that are on my wish list to try. There are other face masks just to name a few: Q10, Deary,  SK-II, L'egere, etc... that I have not used so it is hard for me to compare it to any other brands. What I can tell you is my likes and dislikes about this so far.

Out of all the face masks on this site, I decided to give My Beauty Diary a try because it looks the most delicious..... not to eat of course. They have so many varieties that it comes in.... listen to these names..... Strawberry Yogurt, Mixed Berry, Red Wine, Southern France Apricot, and they also have flower scents too.... Now can you see why I picked this? In addition, this brand provides a "wide selection of masks that accommodates different skin types for different seasons." Yay!!!

My Beauty Diary cost $15.99 for 10 pcs of face masks and in order to have the best results it is recommended for you to use it 2-3 times a week. For me, I only used it 1-2 times a week and I will go into why later in this blog.
As stated on the website, it helps remove excessed oil, cleans, and moisturized the face. Here are the main ingredient in the Strawberry Yogurt Mask: Strawberry extract, rich fruit acid, minerals and enzymes (to help for whitening and toning of the skin), and active lactic acid to help balance the excess oil.

Pros:
1) I like the smell of the mask... it really does smell like Strawberry Yogurt! YUM-O =)
2) The mask is easy to unfold from the package (still have to be gentle though)
3) Very moist
4) The mask feels very cold against my face (can be a con during the winter, but nice during the summer). Besides the price, I only used this 1-2 times a week is because it can be too cold these days to even think about applying a cold mask onto my face.
5) After removing the mask, my skin feels refreshingly soft like a baby's butt. My face look brighter and so far, I like the results.
6) I would recommend this if you have dry or oily skin.

Cons:
1) May be pricy if you use it 2-3 times a week
2) Too moist. When I apply this onto my face, I feel like I am drenched in a sea of moisture.... I think I am still getting used to these sheet masks since this is my first one.
3) May need to cut the mask a little bit due to the size.

I don't mean to scare everyone but I don't have any makeup on, but this is to show you that you need a clean and toned face before applying the mask ( I will let you know what products I am currently  using to take off my makeup in a future blog).  OMG!!! These look like total mug shots! =( Whatever, I am not scared to bare my naked face in front of everyone.....

How the sheet mask looks like when I opened it up.....

The mask is very moist and you can see how wet it is against my face. It feels like I am dripping sweats off my face..... the length we go to keep our skin looking good.....
The mask is so moist that even after 30 minutes it still feels like the same consistency as when I first took it out of the wrapper. WOW!!! To try absorbing most of the moisture on the sheet, I left it on for an hour AND it is still moist .... oh well.... an hour is good enough for me..... looks scary...... RRRGGGHHH!!

Before removing the mask, I pressed my fingers against the mask to squeeze out the moisture from the mask onto my skin. Then I peel the mask off and let my face dry. You can see that my face is still wet from the mask down below- extremely glowy.

I am going to finish this box before I tried other brands to compare this with. So far this is something I can see myself using, but just out of curiosity I like try other ones.

Let you when I do..... PEACE OUT!

OOTD: One shoulder bubble blouse + some Thanksgiving food pics!

Hi Everyone,

Happy Thanksgiving! I was sooo full from all the food that my mom, sister-in-law, auntie, and cousins cooked last night.  You guys are the best!  I was able to let myself go and just gorge on great homemade food that makes me crave for more (I'll put up some pictures of the food later). Ok..... where was I...... Oh yeah... OOTD.... a month ago I bought a blouse at forever 21 for $24.80 and I haven't even worn it.  Have you ever bought something and just forgot about it in your closet? Haha, that's what happened to this poor blouse. This blouse has a really cute bow on the right shoulder and within the bow there is a flower pattern sequins stitched to it. It just makes the blouse much more formal.

You can wear this blouse with practically anything. Here I paired it with a skirt if you want to go out for a dinner with your man or just out with your girls at night. This may be too cold to wear during the winter but it will be nice once summer comes along. I got the skirt on sale from Metro Park for $19.99 and the shoes are from forever 21 (I forgot how much it was.... I don't think it was more than $25). I love the shoes, especially because it is nude.  Anything that is close to your skin color helps extend your legs. (winter= pale legs)

Since it was too damn cold to wear this and it's more for going out ..... I have decided to wear the blouse with shorts and some tights underneath. Plus my favorite... BOOTS!! Ahhh... much warmer.....

Then I put on a faux leather jacket from Forever 21 (I think it cost $28) and I was ready to go over to my parents' house for a nice Thanksgiving dinner.

Gobble Gobble Gobble!
Here are the foods that we had last night.....

Yep, and there is a bottle of Grey Goose.....

Gift Ideas #1

Hi Everyone,

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and Christmas is around the corner. I started to think what I can give  to my  friends, family, and my love one. Hmmm..... well, I have some cool ideas..... let me know what y'all think!

On my spare time, I enjoy finding interesting products on the internet that amazes me and hopefully you too! I think I will incorporate some of my findings into my weekly blog.....

1) POSH Instant Noodles- $43: 43 dollas' for some cup o' noodle? Are you kidding? Hell no am I going to pay that much for this. Well, believe it or not there are people out there that will! They only make 100 of these Pot Noodle Cups and they come with a fork and a table linen. Who eats cup o' noodle on a white table linen in the first place? I guess the good thing is that the proceeds go to charity. Who ever I am giving this to must be damn special..... and they better appreciate that they are getting cup o' noodles for Christmas!

2) Yep, one of my favorites...... colorful toilet paper! If you have been reading my blog, I do like colors and this may fit into my theme..... NOT!!!  "If you're tired of wiping your ass with dollar bills you can spend that cash on some colored toilet paper." Unless you are one of those people who needs to color coordinate your bathroom, then this may not be something you will need to wipe your ass with on a daily basis. It comes in a pack of 3 and it cost $20. I can pass on this.... I can go to Costco and buy the Kirkland brand for $18 for 36 rolls. My ass isn't that special.

3) Don't you hate when the bartender puts too much ice into your drink and it dilutes the alcohol? Well, this is going to solve that problem if you are rollin' in dough..... Balls of Ice- $40. If you are truly a VIP, you should be getting some good ice that is hand carved. Here is a hand carved sphere of ice that is made from Canadian purified water. It is said that ice balls supposedly don't dilute your drink so wootwoot! Next time you go out and you feel  like spending some moola, ask the bartender for some hand-carved sphere ice (just a side note, you may get some weird looks if they have no clue what you are talking about--- play it off if you do. Obviously, it's not a VIP club ;o)

4) Diamond Encrusted Bluetooth Headset: $50,000. Who in their right mind will pay for something like this? First, no one I know will be getting this from me. If someone got this for me, I swear they are crazy. Heck, I rather have them give me a $50,000 car than a bluetooth. There is just nothing more I can say about this.....

5) Alright girls, this is a little kinky but check this out. Little Something Gold Vibrator- $325
This is made out of 24K gold, but does it mean it will last longer? Is it waterproof? Someone out there thinks they can sell this..... would you buy it? Actually, I thought it looks more like a gold pen....

Ok, enough interesting gift ideas.... I have more to come in the future blogs.

Cute Thermal Socks + Reversible throw blanket!

Hi Everyone,

I was so happy to get a $5 coupon for Bed Bath and Beyond in the mail. I also received a 20% discount coupon which made me even more excited. I rushed to the store to see what I can get for $10 so I can get $5 off. What I have in mind was to get something cheap and practical. Something I can use or wear everyday. Whenever I go there I like to look at their Holiday decorations (by the way, I love to decorate my house, maybe I will post some pictures up of my Christmas tree) so I had to check that out before I head over to the beauty section. While I was in the beauty section, I saw these adorable looking socks hanging against the wall. One thing that caught my attention is the socks are pro-organic...... good for the Earth and good for me! =o)

These are not just normal socks, they are double layered AND super comfortable. I will go ahead and tell you what this pair of socks will do for your feet. As indicated on the box, it is two socks in one and it has a super-soft inner layer that is infused with rich, hydrating Shea butter to provide conditioning moisture. The socks are form-fitted for comfort and to give you this extra warm, toasty feeling. For best results and to enhance hydration, you may wash your feet and then massage in your favorite foot lotion before putting on the socks. My feet are feeling and looking good!

The Shea Butter Infusion blend lasts through approximately 15 washings. I think this makes a great Christmas gift stuffer. Made in Korea- Love Korean products.

Why not spoil your love ones feet?!!! (I don't know if they make this for men. That is just too bad!)
Here are the socks out of the box so you can see the cute peace signs on them

You only need to dab a little bit of lotion on - I used my Warm Vanilla Sugar from Bath and Body Works.
Now both of my feet are moist and I am ready to put on my socks!

Material: 61% Certified Organic Cotton, 20% Bamboo Rayon, 19% nylon.
$9.99

With the 20% discount, I picked up a Reversible Throw (Micro Mink to Sherpa).  I have been looking for an oversized throw blanket that would keep me warm throughout the winter.
Stay Warm!
